Tuesday, 19 November 2024

The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) is pleased to announce that applications have now opened for the Regional Not-for-Profit Scholarship 2025.

This program aims to help up to 150 regional NFP leaders deepen their understanding of governance principles.

Scholarship recipients will be enrolled in either the AICD’s Care Governance: Achieving Quality Outcomes or the Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors courses.

The courses will take place in six regional locations across the country next year:

Care Governance: Achieving Quality Outcomes

  • Toowoomba, Queensland – 3 April 2025
  • Newcastle, NSW – 6 May 2025

Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors

  • Geelong, Victoria – 4–5 June 2025
  • Launceston, Tasmania – 8–9 April 2025
  • Port Lincoln, South Australia – 20–21 May 2025
  • Karratha, Western Australia – 16–17 June 2025

AICD Managing Director and CEO Mark Rigotti said the AICD was extremely proud to be continuing the Regional Not-for-Profit Scholarship into 2025 as part of its commitment to NFPs and regional Australia.

“We know that NFPs servicing regional, rural and remote communities face their own unique challenges and the need to support NFP directors, particularly those in the care sector, has never been greater.

“The scholarships will provide a valuable opportunity for these NFP leaders to enhance their governance skills and capabilities, to support their organisations and meet the growing challenges facing their sectors.”

Current and aspiring directors or leaders of small-to-medium NFP organisations with an annual income of $2 million or less are encouraged to apply. Applicants must also live 75 kms outside an Australian capital city.

Applications are open from 19 November 2024 to 20 December 2024.
