As a leader in the not-for-profit sector, you can positively impact your organisation and the communities that rely on it with the AICD’s Regional Not-for-profit Scholarship. Applications are open from 19 November to 20 December 2024.

The AICD is pleased to offer governance scholarships to those in leadership positions within NFP organisations in rural, regional or remote areas of Qld, NSW, Vic, Tas, SA and WA. Supporting rural and regional Australia, this scholarship program will help up to 150 leaders deepen their understanding of governance principles by completing an applicable AICD course:

  1. Care Governance: Achieving Quality Outcomes
offered in Qld and NSW as a one-day course.

You’ll learn to establish and improve care governance structures, policies and procedures to foster a safe culture and enrich the lives of those in your care.

Best suited to: new and aspiring directors and leaders wishing to improve outcomes in aged care, childcare or the disability sector.

Usual course cost: $900 for members; $1,200 for non-members.

  2. Governance Foundations for Not-for-profit Directors
offered in Vic, Tas, SA and WA as a one-and-a-half-day program.

You’ll learn the fundamental compliance and performance-related roles and responsibilities of not-for-profit leaders, specifically in the areas of governance, risk, financial performance and strategy.

Best suited to: first-time and aspiring directors of not-for-profit companies or community organisations; directors seeking to transition to NFP directorship; or executives who report directly to a board.

Usual course cost: $1,350 for members; $1,800 for non-members.

Each scholarship covers 100% of the course cost. Any travel or accommodation costs are not included.
