The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Not-For-Profit Scholarship program, offering a unique opportunity for NFP leaders across all states and territories.
Open to directors of small not-for-profit organisations with an annual income of $2 million or less, as well as aspiring directors, executives, and senior managers within the NFP sector, this scholarship program aims to empower leaders with essential governance skills.
A total of 200 fully-funded places are available, providing access to the esteemed AICD Governance Foundations for NFP Directors course.
Being run between August 2024 and June 2025, this course will equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the complexities of governance within the NFP sector.
There are ever-changing challenges and opportunities for NFP directors including regulatory changes, cyber secrutiy concerns and client care.
AICD Managing Director and CEO, Mark Rigotti said the importance of this scholarship program, which aims to help NFP directors address these challenges, has never been greater.
“The AICD is proud to offer this vital scholarship program for the eigth consecutive year. These scholarships will empower NFP leaders to enhance their governance capabilities, enabling them to effectively steer their organisations through times of rapid change and heightened expectations.” The Governance Foundations for NFP Directors program is designed to provide participants with an understanding of fundamental compliance and performance-related roles and responsibilities for board directors, specifically in the areas of governance, risk, financial performance and strategy. Applications close on Sunday,14 April 2024.
