    A new suite of AICD resources, developed with the Human Technology Institute (HTI) at the University of Technology Sydney, helps boards harness the power of AI responsibly.


    While forms of Artificial Intelligence (AI) have been used for many years, the development of Generative AI has prompted widespread discussion of its impact on the economy and broader society. Although AI promises significant productivity and economic gains, there are potential risks from AI system failures and abuse.

    As stewards of organisational strategy and risk management, directors have a key role to play in creating appropriate guardrails that allow AI’s benefits to be appropriately harnessed. This requires a robust governance framework that can adapt to the unique characteristics of AI systems.

    In partnership with the Human Technology Institute (HTI) at the University of Technology Sydney, the AICD has developed a new suite of resources to help boards navigate the ethical and informed use of AI.
