In early December 2022, the Australian Government commenced public consultation on a mandatory climate-related financial disclosure regime for large, listed companies and financial institutions, and is likely to be closely aligned with the ISSB standards. Those obligations could be in force for the 2024-25 financial year.
As the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) climate and sustainability standards are expected to be finalised in early 2023 and implemented in Australia, directors need to prepare for forthcoming reporting requirements. This webinar will provide an overview of these standards and what you need to do to keep up to date with over the coming year.
The panel will discuss and cover:
- The fundamentals of the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD),
- The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) climate and sustainability standards
- The Australian Government’s current consultation on climate disclosure
Climate risk reporting will be one of the most significant corporate governance issues on board agendas in 2023, so make sure you understand how this will impact your organisation.
