Christian is responsible for providing strategic leadership of the AICD’s public policy agenda and thought leadership program, engaging with members, government, industry and other stakeholders. During his time with the AICD he has led major initiatives including the publication of the AICD-CSCRC Cyber Governance Principles, development of market-leading guidance on stakeholder governance, and establishment of the Climate Governance Initiative Australia.
Prior to joining the AICD, Christian held senior roles at financial services industry bodies. Christian was previously a diplomat with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade and began his career as a solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills. Christian is a member of the ASIC Cyber Consultative Panel, the AASB/AUASB Sustainability Reporting Project Advisory Panel and an AICD representative on the ASX Corporate Governance Council.
Christian holds a Bachelor of Economics (Social Sciences)/Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Laws from the Australian National University.
