The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) has today announced further measures to support containment of the COVID-19 virus.
No cases of COVID-19 have been detected at any of the AICD’s offices or member lounges nationally, but the AICD is taking further precautions to respond to this unprecedented and evolving situation.
These temporary measures will operate until 30 April 2020, subject to ongoing review.
The AICD will defer all face-to-face courses and events scheduled to run from 19 March until 30 April. Courses currently underway and concluding in the next five business days will be completed.
The AICD’s Business Centre & Member Lounges will be temporarily closed from close of business Friday, 20 March until 30 April.
All members and attendees impacted will be contacted directly by the AICD. AICD members have been updated on these developments. Further information is available on the AICD’s website at www.aicd.com.au.
The well-being of our team, our members and the community is our primary concern.
These new measures follow steps already taken by the AICD over recent weeks, including instigating social distancing policies, additional cleaning of AICD premises, deferring or cancelling large events and supporting AICD staff to work-from-home from last week.
The AICD remains committed to supporting our members across the community in this challenging environment. We have established a dedicated portal for COVID-19 governance resources. Our online governance programs will be enhanced, with virtual classroom options for our two most significant courses, The Foundations of Directorship and the Company Directors Course, in train. Other activities of the Institute continue as staff work remotely from home.
The AICD will continue to closely monitor the situation and issue regular updates to members.
