Company Director is launching a new podcast series to help directors unlock the innovation and growth that digital transformation can deliver.
In this extraordinary year of COVID-19 recovery, one of the biggest challenges for boards and directors is stepping up digital transformation. Specifically, how do they unlock the innovation and growth so it can deliver for their businesses?
Within this challenge lies a huge opportunity. But taking advantage of it demands a new mindset, leadership practices and skills — and there’s never been a greater need for a new mindset to take on this challenge.
Company Director magazine is proud to be launching its new podcast series Directors on Digital — in partnership with Microsoft — to equip directors for the digital times ahead. In this series, leading financial commentator Alan Kohler AM will be talking with Australia’s top company directors to discover their experiences and insights in driving digital innovation on their boards, plus their lessons on the journey so far.
Across six episodes, we’ll hone in on the key questions for directors. What are the new business models that really work? How do successful directors manage the tricky balance between risk and growth? How does this change how boards approach governance, culture, funding and strategy? Where are the traps for the unwary?
We’ll also share tales of how directors have moved from fear to acceptance when it comes to digital transformation.
This exciting new series will help equip directors for a rapid era of digital transformation. Research by the AICD and Sydney University, Driving Innovation: The boardroom gap, is a base. This study found that Australian directors recognise the importance of innovation in boardrooms, but that practical steps were needed to prioritise its delivery and lift levels of digital literacy.
Directors on Digital will be a series of fascinating, in-depth conversations with the likes of CSIRO and Xero chair David Thodey AO FAICD, Commonwealth Bank chair Catherine Livingstone AO FAICD, leadership futurist Peter Fuda, Buildcorp’s Josephine Sukkar AM MAICD and many more.
Join us for each episode as we explore the key issues and come to grips with the changes ahead. To find out more visit the AICD podcast page.
