From blind spots to sweet spot

The Australian Institute of Company Directors are pleased to partner with Dr Robert Kay MAICD and Dr Chris Goldspink of Incept Labs to present the final stage of their research that has been conducted over the past two years.

This paper presents a book-ending to the research undertaken by Dr Kay MAICD and Dr Goldspink. They go beyond traditional assumptions regarding the board and executive to examine the relationship between ‘good’ governance and high performance and identify the evolving dynamics which allow organisations to find the ‘sweet spot’. Their research also contrasts the effectiveness of boards and executives that embrace ‘shaping the environment’ with those that are wedded to a ‘change and adapt’ approach.
