Sara Watts FAICD

Non Executive Director & Chair of Audit and Risk Committee, Syrah Resources Ltd 

Sara Watts is a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair and has been a director since 2008. Originally combining her board roles with her executive life, Sara has successfully transitioned into a portfolio career.

Currently serving on three listed entities; Nuix Ltd (ASX: NXL), Syrah Resources (ASX: SYR), and Trajan Scientific and Medical (ASX: TRJ), Sara also serves on the board of Uniting NSW.ACT, and the Sydney Opera House Trust.  She chairs the Audit and Risk committee on each of those boards.   

Sara was formerly the CFO of IBM Australia/New Zealand, Vice-Principal Operations at the University of Sydney, and interim CEO at City West Housing - roles that gave her a solid grounding in finance, risk, technology, and international operations. 

Sara mentors emerging finance leaders and transitioning executives, teaches ethics at a local Primary School and sings with Sydney Philharmonia Choirs. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of CPA Australia.
