Liesel Wett OAM FAICD

Liesel is an experienced Chair, Non-Executive Director and senior executive with over two decade’s experience operating at Board level both as a Chair, NED and a CEO working with Boards.

Liesel has been a NED for more than two decades on a number of healthcare companies and is Chair of a large Aged Care provider, a role she has held for nine years. A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Liesel has recently completed two terms as a NED on the AICD’s National board.

Liesel has held CEO roles in national organisations in the healthcare sector, with a career as CEO of Australian Pathology, the peak body for private pathology in Australia and as the CEO of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, the professional body for pharmacists. In these roles, Liesel has made a significant impact, having negotiated with the government to change health policy to improve Australian’s access to the health and aged care system. Many of the changes Liesel has negotiated have been in highly regulated environments. Her knowledge of how Government’s operate and who to influence has been key to her success. Most recently, Liesel has played a significant role in the Pandemic, resulting in Australian’s accessing COVID-19 tests for free.
