Dan Weeks

Dan is the Chief Executive Officer of West Gippsland Healthcare Group, appointed late 2011. He began his career in health as a hospital trained nurse in the early 80’s, and broadened his skills with an accounting degree and a Masters of Health Administration. In 2007 he undertook the AICD Diploma while a member of the Nurses Board of Victoria. 

Safety and Quality in health are among his passions and he has been part of the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards assessing and accrediting other health services for more than 20 years.  He has held Executive roles and reported to Boards for more than 25 years, with the last 16 as a Chief Executive Officer at West Gippsland, Benalla and Numurkah hospitals.   When not working, Dan enjoys spending time in the garden and at Inverloch, with the family heavily involved with the Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club.
