Pia Turcinov GAICD

With 30 years of commercial and corporate experience across multiple industries including technology, energy, resources and professional services, Pia Turcinov is a seasoned business leader and strategic advisor to innovators, industry, and policymakers. 


Pia offers significant experience in Australian law, innovation and technology, governance and strategic leadership. Managing a portfolio career Pia serves on a number of boards including BrainChip Holdings (ASX:BRN), the Centre of Decommissioning of Australia, Edith Cowan University Council and as Chair of the East Metropolitan Health Service. Pia is also an Executive Director and General Partner of Fund WA, a Perth-based venture capital fund focused on backing and investing in WA technology and innovation.

Pia is the immediate past Chair of Women in Technology WA, co-founder of VentureX HQ - a member-based network for women led startups - and is an active and passionate Diversity Equality and Inclusion advocate. Pia holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of NSW and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

In recognition of her work and contributions Pia was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the King's Birthday 2023 Honours List for her significant service to technology and innovation, and to women in STEM.
