Mark Stickells leads the Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre, critical national research infrastructure located in Perth, Western Australia.
Pawsey’s high performance computing and data services support Australian researchers and international radioastronomy projects including the multinational Square Kilometre Array. Pawsey’s exascale-class system, Setonix, named after WA’s quokka, is one of the world’s most powerful, energy-efficient supercomputers.
An experienced research and industry executive, Mark is a non-executive director of Australia’s peak STEM advocacy agency, Science and Technology Australia, Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian Institute of Management, and member of CEO’s for Gender Equity..
