Casey is currently the Deputy Chair of the Victorian State Emergency Service, the Deputy Chair of Vision Super and a board member of the Super Members Council of Australia. She has completed a Bachelor of Business (Management) and a Bachelor of Health Science (Public Health).
Casey was previously a long-term operational volunteer with Ambulance Victoria. In the 2010 Australia Day Honours, Casey was awarded an Ambulance Service Medal (ASM). In 2012, Casey was awarded an Emergency Services Foundation (ESF) Scholarship and travelled throughout the United States and Canada studying recruiting, retaining and leading volunteers. Casey is a Country Fire Authority (CFA) member and has volunteered for the Good Friday Appeal, Starlight Foundation and Sids and Kids Victoria.
In 2012, Casey was elected to Hume City Council as its Deputy Mayor; she served as Mayor for 2013/2014 and is the Youngest Mayor ever elected in Hume. Casey was Chair of the Salvation Army 3064 Advisory Board for two years and a long-term member. On International Women’s Day 2019, Casey was inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll of Women.
In 2019, Casey was awarded a Garry Weaven Emerging Leadership Scholarship and studied leadership investment at Harvard University. She has completed a Bachelor of Business (Management) and a Bachelor of Health Science (Public Health). In the 2021 Queens Birthday Honours, Casey was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for volunteer services to the community.
