Board Director, The NRMA

Marisa is a highly experienced Board Director and Executive. She is currently the Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer at UOW Global Enterprises, a successful global higher education company and subsidiary of the University of Wollongong.  


Marisa's leads an international team across Dubai, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Australia and is an experienced professional adept at navigating diverse cultures and international markets. Her career includes senior executive positions with the Illawarra Port Corporation and CEO roles within the retirement and Aged Care sectors.

Marisa holds both a Bachelor and Master of Commerce. Additionally, she is an alumnus of Harvard and a Fellow of CPA Australia, an Associate Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Beyond her current executive position, Marisa is a director of NRMA Ltd, where she chairs the Audit and Risk Committee and is a member of the Finance and Investment and the Governance, Compensation and Nomination Committees. She is also actively engaged in the Illawarra Regional Advisory committee of Venues NSW and serves as a Director of the Justice and Forensic Mental Health Network Board. In the past, she held the position of Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Illawarra Shoalhaven Health District Board.

Marisa is an ardent advocate for promoting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, as well as prioritising Wellness, Health, and Safety in the workplace. Her extensive expertise in strategic planning, financial and risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and change management adds significant value to the organisations she serves. Moreover, her commitment to transparent corporate governance and sustainable performance further strengthens her reputation as a proficient Board Director.
