Katrina Murphy is the Managing Director of Katrina Murphy Industrial Relations (KMIR) and has more than 30 years extensive experience in Employee Relations and Human Resources management, industrial advocacy, investigation work, management coaching and consulting to employers, professional associations and Boards.
Katrina founded her consulting company in Melbourne in 1994. Katrina Murphy Industrial Relations is now based in Brisbane and consults to employer and professional association clients in a very wide range of sectors and industries across all states of Australia. She maintains long term relationships with her clients, taking a close and personal interest in their businesses.
Prior to starting her consulting business, Katrina held senior industrial relations management positions in Canberra with CSIRO and ACT Electricity and Water in Canberra, then in Melbourne with BTR Nylex, and the Victorian Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Katrina has tutored in Political Science and Government at the University of Queensland. Katrina has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science and Economics from UQ and has undertaken Graduate Law studies at ANU and Melbourne University.
Katrina is a highly experienced public speaker, speaking for CEO Institute and other professional associations and is an accredited management trainer.
