Jenn Morris MAICD

Director, Sandfire Resources

Jenn is an accomplished corporate executive and non-executive director (NED), with key experience in advising corporations and government entities on strategy development, governance controls, complex large-scale business transformation, human capital related work including remuneration, the embedding of ESG (environment, social and governance) related policies and the understanding of high-performance environments learned during her varied career including elite sport. She has experience in a range of industries including mining, transport, education, government, agriculture, health, and the financial services sector.


Jenn holds NED roles on both publicly listed and private companies, including global copper company Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) and lithium miner Liontown Resources (ASX:LTR), after recently resigning from ASX-10 company, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) after 7 years. Jenn Chairs the Remuneration and People Committee at both and serves as a member on several other committees, including Audit, Risk Management and Sustainability. She is also a Director at Argonaut, a private integrated investment house, The Leisure Collective, a coastal and surfing lifestyle wear company, and is on the Advisory Board of Derwent Executive Search and Advisory.

In her executive career, Jenn was a Director at WA’s corporate affairs firm Cannings Purple, and a senior executive of Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s Minderoo Foundation where she was CEO of Walk Free, a global human rights organisation. Prior to this, she was a Partner at global professional services firm Deloitte where she worked in the management consulting division across mining, education, transport, health and government portfolios. She also served as Chair of Healthway, the WA-government’s peak independent health body, and was a Director of AFL club, The Fremantle Dockers for six years. Before commencing her business career, Jenn was a member of the Australian women’s hockey team where she won gold medals at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

A key addition is Jenn’s strong leadership and communication capabilities with extensive experience in team effectiveness and leadership. Jenn is also an expert workshop facilitator, and engaging corporate speaker, sharing her extensive experience across the various environments she has worked in, from elite sport to executive corporate life to the Board room. She has demonstrated expertise in leadership from her time as captain with the dual Olympic gold medal-winning Australian hockey team, and her time in governance and corporate executive roles where she developed a keen understanding of what makes for effective leadership and exceptional performance from the board/executive level down.
