Jacinta Munro GAICD

Chair, Lifeline

When Jacinta left a quiet farm in Northern Victoria to go to boarding school, she never dreamed that she would become a high-profile partner at KPMG and would struggle to comprehend that she would have the honour of serving Lifeline for more than 11 years.

From a very early age Jacinta was exposed to the essential role of volunteering through her mother (a primary school teacher) and her father (a farmer). She saw first-hand how valuable volunteers are in enabling a rural community to thrive.

Jacinta has been the Chair of Lifeline Australia since November 2021 and a director since 2013. She joined the board at a time when Lifeline was experiencing significant growth and there was a need to bolster the board’s accounting and risk management skills.

Outside of Lifeline, Jacinta is a Chartered Accountant with 30 years’ experience with KPMG, with over twenty years as Partner. Jacinta is a senior Partner who has acted as the appointed Independent Expert on numerous occasions across a range of industries for regulators including ASIC, APRA, the OAIC and the ACCC. She works closely with her clients to achieve sustainable outcomes, enduring compliance and stakeholder benefits.

Home is a household of boys, so Jacinta keeps fit with numerous trips to the part and many hours of football, cricket, swimming and golf.
