Non-Executive Director, Silk Logistics Ltd

Cheryl is an experienced non-executive director on listed Boards, Silk logistics Holdings Ltd (ASX:SLH), Beston Global Food Company (ASX:BFC) and Ai Media Technologies Ltd (ASX:AIM). Cheryl previously served as director and member of the People and Remuneration and the Digital Technology Committees for Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ). Cheryl recently joined the Nature Positive CRC Bid Committee.


She was previously an invited member of the Digital Experts Advisory Committee (part of the Prime Minister’s Digital Technology Taskforce), which concluded early 2023. Cheryl is also a NED for the Darlinghurst Theatre Company, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT and Peer Support Australia, in the not- for-profit sector.

She has vast listed company expertise having also been a prior NED on Clover Corp (ASX:CLV), Hancock & Gore Limited, (ASX:HNG) where she was the Remuneration & Nominations Committee Chair, as well as a NED and Chair of RemCo and member of ARC on and Shriro Holdings (ASX:SHM), along with many other Boards in a career spanning multiple sectors, geographies and industries over more than 15 years. Her governance, strategy and risk understanding is deep, her focus on sustainability and social purpose runs deep and she is able to couple these rigorous requirements with ensuring a business continues to focus on customers, people and to drive growth through innovation.

Cheryl is a broad business leader and active contributor with a proven capability to add value, applying a strategic focus to growth as well as managing the challenges of geographic product and channel expansion.

She has a particular capability in creating customer value through unlocking opportunity and competitive advantage using data insights, digital strategy and customer experiences, along with the implementation of innovative thinking and products. Cheryl’s career demonstrates her skills in capitalising on a results orientation coupled with social conscience to deliver and drive innovation and business growth.

Prior to entering the Boardroom, Cheryl was a C-Suite marketing director who led large teams locally and overseas to achieve significant growth and develop innovative new products with global food and consumer retail companies, George Weston Foods, Yum! Restaurants and Unilever. These experiences gave her oversight across whole of business, significant leadership impact, manufacturing and production insight, and people and financial responsibility.

Outside of the boardroom Cheryl is a Member CEW (including Policy and Advocacy Committee) and Women on Boards. She is a committed and passionate mentor, having provided mentoring for over 20 years, for corporate as well as entrepreneurial women and currently contributes as a mentor for Mentor Walks, Women on Boards, NAWO, Minerva Network and The Marketing Academy.
