With extensive senior executive experience in social policy, research and child and family practice, Annette has successfully led change initiatives in both government and non-government organisations.
Her most recent roles include as a Director at the Parenting Research Centre where she worked with both state and national government agencies on projects to evaluate and improve practice and care governance. Previously she led social policy and research at The Benevolent Society and in government worked in child welfare and at the NSW Children’s Commission.
Annette has served on a number of boards including Families Australia and Gowrie NSW. She is currently a member of Life Without Barriers Practice Governance Committee and acts as a consultant and advisor on practice and care governance including to the AICD. Annette is a member of the Steering Group implementing the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s children.
Recently Annette joined The FrameWorks Institute a Washington DC-based think-tank where she leads FrameWorks Australian projects, using the Institute’s empirical research to investigate patterns in public thinking about social issues and how frames can be used to shift them.
She holds a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Sydney.
