Lesley’s career has focused on arts management and cultural policy. Since 2018, she has been Chairperson of Geelong Arts Centre which is currently undergoing a major redevelopment including several new performance spaces. Stage 2 opened in late 2019 and Stage 3 is scheduled to open in August 2023.
She has been involved in several major cultural capital projects during her career and more recently as an Assurance / Gateway reviewer. Lesley is a Graduate of the AICD. Her previous roles include the Director, Asialink Arts, Managing Director of Sotheby’s Australia, Director / CEO of Heide Museum and the Director of Arts Victoria. She has also served on the Boards of Opera Australia and the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art and was a member of the Australia ASEAN Council. Lesley holds an MBA from Monash University, BA (Hons) and B.Ed. and a Master of Urban and Cultural Heritage at the University of Melbourne.
