Kathleen Bailey-Lord FAICD

Kathleen is an experienced board director, passionate about the opportunities for business and society presented by the combination of people and technology. She believes we can make the world a better place – with conscious decision making and effective governance. Known for her curiosity, Kathleen enjoys navigating complexity to help nudge businesses forward to embrace the current age in which we live.


A Fellow of the AICD, Kathleen serves as a member of the Victorian Council of the AICD and the AICD Governance of Innovation and Technology Panel. She is a regular panellist, enjoys hearing the views of the membership and contributing to conversations about governing in the digital age, culture and long-term business sustainability – embracing people, technology and innovation.

Currently Kathleen serves on the boards of QBE Insurance (AusPac), Alinta Energy, Melbourne Water Corporation, Janison (ASX:JAN), Datacom and Monash College. She chairs the People and Remuneration Committee at QBE (AusPac), Datacom, Janison and Monash College and the Sustainability Committee at Alinta Energy. She serves as Deputy Chair at Melbourne Water.

Kathleen is an external member of the Australian Partnership Council of Norton Rose Fulbright Australia and an active member of Chief Executive Women.
