Prof R. Edward Freeman

University Professor, UVA Darden School of Business

Prof. Freeman is renowned for his contributions to stakeholder theory and business ethics. He advocates aligning business strategies with pivotal stakeholder relationships. His acclaimed book, "Strategic Management: A Stakeholder Approach," penned in 1984, continues to influence business figures and students globally.

Freeman is the Elis and Signe Olsson Professor of Business Administration, and an academic director of the Institute for Business in Society at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He also holds roles with the Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), Nyenrode Business School (Netherlands), and Monash University (Melbourne).
