Here at the AICD we advocate, lead, and drive the agenda on governance issues that have an impact on every corner of society. And we do that because it puts the right issues in front of the right people at the most important times.
Recognising you at every level
Our membership grades are designed to reflect the varying degrees of experience—and commitment—that individual leaders and executives bring to the director community.
Affiliate (AAICD)
Becoming an Affiliate signifies your desire to stay informed on governance trends as an area of interest, or your desire to pursue a directorship career in the future.
Member (MAICD)
Members are required to have at least two years’ experience as a director or executive reporting into a board. You could be a: director of a company or not-for-profit; CEO or part of an executive team; business owner/partner; advisory board member; professor (or equivalent); or the head of a relevant faculty (e.g. business, law) at a tertiary institution.
Graduate (GAICD)
This sought-after grade is awarded to graduates of the AICD’s prestigious Company Directors Course™.
FELLOW (FAICD)
Seasoned directors who demonstrate, practice and advocate the values of good governance can apply for the Fellow grade.
The AICD may also, at any time, elevate exemplary Members to the status of Fellow.
LIFE FELLOW (FAICDLife)
Recognised for their outstanding work and continued contribution to governance during their career, seasoned AICD Fellows are offered the honorary grade of Life Fellow.
