Timothy Stutt is a corporate partner at Herbert Smith Freehills. He is Head of ESG for the firm’s Australian practice and a partner in the firm’s Head Office Advisory Team.
Tim specialises in corporate governance and has over 15 years’ experience helping large corporationswith Board advice, market disclosure and reporting, risk management, shareholder engagement and activism, and other ESG matters.
Tim represents Herbert Smith Freehills on the Council of Climate Governance Initiative Australia. He is also co-chair of the Law Society of New South Wales’ Climate Change Committee and a member of the AICD’s Law Committee.
Tim received his MBA from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo in 2010, where he was one of 2 Australians to receive a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education under their Young Leaders’ Program. Tim also has previous experience in the financial industry, having worked as an analyst on the Japanese and Global investment strategies of a San Francisco Bay Area-based hedge fund.
